This is a design project about packaging. In my conversations with many female friends, we talk about the fear and discomfort of being gazed at, not out of appreciation but scrutinizing and shaping women's self-awareness and self-esteem. After interviewing ten women of similar age with different professions, I discovered that this unwarranted gaze is not limited to males. Three of them had also experienced malicious stares and insults from other women in public.
In Chinese culture, the vase is a metaphor for women-beautiful but empty, existing only for admiration with a single function. This is my starting point for the theme of gaze. I aimed to create a series of designs that challenge this notion.
As soclety continues to develop, an increasing number of people are becoming addicted to the Internet. Nevertheless, written words alone can no longer satisfy people's growing demand for expression in online communication. This is where "emojis" come into play in the virtual world. Over time, these symbols have acquired deeper meanings, as seen in the popular smiley face emoji.
This book aims to illustrate the evolution of ‘emoji’ from its original form decades ago to the familiar round emojis we use today, along with the derived emojis. More importantly, I aim to reveal the evolving meanings of 'emoji' in today's cyber environment, delving into the multiple layers of these ever-changing interpretations. By this means, my goal is to provoke the audience to reflect on Internet communication methods and the diverse meanings associated with emojis in this digital era.https://youtu.be/XxUypoGlgHs
I have always been intrigued by the vastness of the universe. According to the statistical results of a new study, there could be more than 30 intelligent alien civilizations in the galaxy, and strange phenomena that cannot be explained by science occasionally occur on earth. Maybe, when alien intelligent lives appear, they tend to self-destruct or evade humans' tracking so that we have no way of knowing.
I helieve in the existence of alien clvilizations hecause the earth is too.l small in the vast universe. I am curious about what it will be like if aliensl and their civilizations exist on earth in the future. In the project, I used Al Procreate, and Nomad to create five posters in 2D and 3D forms.
