My intention in creating this artwork was to provide comfort to my widowegrandmother. We shared a strong bond, and I deeply empathized with helgrief. We had never experienced the emotional pain of an elderly personlosing their life partner in their later years. I believe it is one of the deepesforms of love and affection. Therefore, I used a series of collages createdfrom photos of their youth and moments from my childhood with them, which I then transformed into woven pieces. Soft textiles now enfold themementos of the elderly, providing a sense of warmth and solace." At thesame time, this artwork also aims to address the issue of how to deal withthe belongings left behind by the elderly after their passing. I aspire totransform these items into a form of remembrance in a gentle and warmmanner, rather than disposing of them due to space constraints.
